EMERGE is built on active engagement, not passive membership. To get real value from the platform and to contribute to a thriving Pan-African community, we ask all members to commit to the following:

Active participation

You're expected to engage with at least one EMERGE activity each month. This can be anything that fits your schedule and growth goals, including attending a webinar or masterclass, participating in a peer matching round through Orbit, completing a course on the Learning Hub, accessing recorded content, or contributing to the community in another meaningful way.

Completing your Leadership Compass Assessment

The Leadership Compass is your starting point. It gives you a clear picture of where you are in your leadership journey and where your greatest opportunities for growth lie. All members are required to complete it as part of their onboarding.

Feedback and surveys

To help us continuously improve and demonstrate the impact of EMERGE, members are required to complete periodic surveys every 3 months to share their experiences, growth, and reflections. Your feedback shapes the platform and helps tell the story of what EMERGE is making possible across the continent.

Programme-specific commitments

For cohort-based programmes such as masterclasses, additional expectations apply:

You must attend all sessions in the cohort to receive your certificate of completion.
Missing the first session of a cohort may result in your place being released to another member.
Programme communications and preparation materials should be reviewed in advance.
